This Looks Like Joy!

Design : Ducky3d

Programs Utilized : Blender

"This Looks Like Joy", follows the same concept as "It Magma Now, Okay?" except with a more complex setup of instances on a plane. The real accomplishment of this project was my ability to have each instance on this plane to act as its own individual object. This allowed it to cast its own shadow as well as cast a unique shadow on each other instance on this piece.

Before

After

This is a before and after image of the Geometry node tree utilized in the creation this project. The main difference between the two are the added geometry settings that would allow for each instance to be recognized as its own individual object on the grid. This distinction allows each object to cast its own and have a shadow cast on itself based on the position of the instance and the "sun".

I take great pride in the cleanliness of my node true. Its a good practice for when you are working with a team and someone else might have to go over your work.

Example of the final outcome when the geometry node tree setup was completed (without color). A spotlight was used to show the changing of the shadows as it hit each object instance.
